Description
This is Steinel’s 300gr 460 S&W Magnum load. This load uses a slightly heavier 300gr projectile compared to the more traditional 240gr. Like its lighter counterpart, this is great hunting and plinking load thanks to the traditional Hornady XTP-Mag projectile. The advantage of the 300gr over the 240gr is slightly better penetration. Recoil is significant, particularly in lighter revolvers.
Note that the XTP-Mag bullets by Hornady offer a thicker copper jacket which hold up to significantly higher velocities relative to their standard XTP bullets. This load is flat-shooting, hard hitting, and a great way to enjoy your X-Frame or Encore at the range or out in the field.
Partially sized to increase neck tension.
