Description
New 9mm brass from Xtreme- cases only.
We have subject these cases to pressures exceeding 56K PSI without any signs of failure. This is very strong brass and its consistency holds its own against Starline and other more well-known manufacturers. Note that this brass does not yield the velocities relative to other manufacturers. The internal capacity is smaller, and therefore pressures will be achieved approximately 11% faster than Starline 9mm Luger brass, for example. This means that you should not take existing, hot loads developed with a different case and merely substitute this brass without making adjustments to COAL or powder charge. That practice is referred to by industry insiders, technitions, and experience (re)loaders as “really stupid.” Start relatively low, work your way up- and with this brass don’t expect velocity world records….and you’ll have a great time. While we have tested Xtreme’s ability to withstand pressures far beyond MAP, most relatively fast-burning pistol powders spike in pressure very quickly once they are pushed too hard.
Nerds: Here at Steinel, we love to experiment with this stuff as we’re passionate about ballistics and performance- and frankly, it’s all very cool. If you’ve read this far….you likely agree. Please note that our universal receiver can handle 100k+ PSI. Your pistol and/or PCC most certainly cannot.
