40 S&W

The .40 Smith & Wesson (10×22mm, or 40 Cal) is a  pistol cartridge developed by Smith & Wesson and Winchester. It was developed as a law enforcement cartridge designed so the FBI could be fit into medium-frame (9mm size) handguns.
