Description
This 500 S&W Magnum load is a shower, not a grower. It features a hard cast, show-stopping spire point weighing in at 390 grains. A gas check is affixed to the bullet base to promote consistency and reduce lead fouling- even at rifle velocities. Penetration is favored over expansion with this hard cast bullet.
Extreme caution must be excercised when firing through Big Horn Armory’s Model 89 “Spike Driver.” When doing so, this round may be loaded only as the first round inserted into the magazine or as the only round loaded into the magazine. It may also be loaded directly into the chamber. In other words, do not allow this spire pointed bullet to rest against another cartridge’s primer as it could potentially ignite the primer while still inside the magazine, leading to damage and injury.
