This 500 S&W Magnum hard cast load is big on performance, and on bragging rights. It features a 600 grain hard cast LFNGC bullet with gas check and is aptly referred to as the “Sledge.” We have a 700 grain 500 S&W option that takes the crown for sheer mass and weight, but the Sledge avoids the one shortfall of the monster 700gr load: case capacity. This load is as heavy as you can get in the 500 Smith & Wesson Magnum, without sacrificing velocity.
