Description
This is Steinel’s +P 45 ACP self-defense round. This higher pressure load uses Speer’s reliable Bonded Gold Dot Jacketed Hollow Points (JHP). Velocity is 990 FPS from 5″ pistols.
Average pressure is 22,000 PSI. Both the velocity and pressure of this load are extremely consistent. The Starline cases are headstamped +P and offer additional strength at the web compared to traditional 45 ACP cases.
Most modern pistols can handle +P ammunition, particularly in low quantities, but verify that your weapon is rated as such.
