Description
This is Steinel’s 240-grain 460 S&W Magnum load. This is the quintessential 460 load for the Xtreme Velocity Revolver. It is a great hunting and plinking load thanks to its meat-and-potatoes Hornady XTP-Mag projectile. Excellent velocity is available- even in shorter barrel configurations. Recoil is significant, particularly in those short barrels. The accuracy and reliability of this round is on par with our other magnum revolver loads.
Note that the XTP-Mag bullets by Hornady offer a thicker copper jacket which hold up to significantly higher velocities relative to their standard XTP bullets. This load is flat-shooting, hard hitting, and a great way to enjoy your X-Frame or Encore at the range or out in the field.
Partially sized to increase neck tension.
