Description

This is Steinel’s heaviest 12.7×42 cartridge and it is compatible with Alexander Arms .50 BEOWULF® upper receivers.  This brute of a projectile allows the round to cycle, lock open on empty, and behave the way a heavy-hitting AR-15 round should.  This shoulder-mounted artillery round hits on both ends.  It is a thrill to chuck this mass of lead downrange.

This 50 Beowulf 700 grain load combines tremendous projectile weight with subsonic-capable velocity to create a uniquely hard-hitting cartridge suitable for shooters seeking powerful terminal performance, deep penetration, and maximum momentum from a modern sporting rifle platform.

Do you want to take advantage of the AR-15’s potential?  Now there’s a load that truly allows you to capitalize on that mystical 1/2″ bore diameter.

If you like to think outside the box, go to extremes, or just shoot heavy-for-caliber ammo…this load is for you.

50 Beowulf 700 Grain Performance

For shooters seeking maximum mass and impact, this 50 Beowulf 700 grain load stands at the extreme end of the spectrum. Heavy-for-caliber projectiles like this are purpose-built for those who want to push the limits of what the platform can deliver offering exceptional momentum and a uniquely powerful shooting experience.

Subsonic 50 Beowulf Capability

This load also aligns with the growing demand for subsonic 50 Beowulf performance. The increased projectile weight supports lower velocities while maintaining strong energy transfer, making it a compelling choice for shooters looking for controlled, hard-hitting performance without excessive speed.

This 50 Beowulf ammo supports subsonic-oriented shooting applications by pairing an extremely heavy projectile with moderate velocity. The result is:

  • substantial momentum
  • controlled velocity
  • deep penetration potential
  • strong suppressor compatibility
  • reduced supersonic crack compared with higher-velocity rifle loads

For shooters building suppressed .50 BEOWULF® rifles, this load offers a unique combination of weight, energy, and controllability.

The .50 BEOWULF® trademark is owned exclusively by Alexander Industries, Inc. doing business as Alexander Arms.
